CyberSafe participated in the 19th Security Meeting, an event organized by ShadowSec and hosted by the Portuguese National Security Cabinet – Gabinete Nacional de Segurança -, and dedicated to IT Security Operations and SIEM.
CyberSafe opened the event with a presentation about the 5th Generation Security Operations Centers (SOC). Besides presenting briefly the several SOC generations, CyberSafe speakers detailed the characteristics that make a SOC a 5th Generation SOC: the use of advanced security analytics, increased efficiency by automation, collaboration, people specialization and adaptability, and counter-attack capabilities. CyberSafe presented also insights on how to measure where your SOC is today and what to do to become a 5th Generation SOC.
Other company presenting on this event was CyberSafe’s vendor partner Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), that focused on User Behaviour Analytics “Is a user doing what is supposed to be allowed to?”.
Finally MEO’s SOC / CSIRT Manager presented “SIEM in the heart of a SOC”.
